A PIECE OF THE MARS ON YOUR WRIST: mounted on the dial of this Vaucanson timepiece is authentic meteorite material from the planet Mars classified as NWA 7755 Martian Meteorite. Classified by C. Agee, Institute of Meteoritics University of New Mexico.

The NWA 7755 Mars meteorite was determined to be a type of Martian terrestrial rock called a Lherzolitic Shergottite, which is a cumulated igneous rock (intrusive) and shows affinities toward the Chassignites. The exposed matrix reveals this rare meteorite’s poikilitic texture where proxenes and olivine’s are highly equilibrated with no zonation.
